Business Value Accelerators make up the core of our services offering, and they are the most popular option among new customers looking to get value as fast as possible. BVAs are fixed-price packages that include world-class consultancy, training with BiZZdesign, and access to predefined resources.
We actually recommend that all new customers adopt the fast-track BVA approach because it helps to lay the foundations of an effective, well-embedded EA team while at the same time delivering valuable information to support strategic and operational decision making. Accelerators allow you to leverage the high level of expertise and counseling within BiZZdesign, which is critical in ensuring rapid and steady progress.
Their prescriptive nature supports value realization in a quick and risk-free manner, which is why our Business Value Accelerators guarantee well-defined outcomes in a specific timeframe. BVAs concentrate years of experience into a singular service offering, providing access to a wealth of best practices developed across hundreds of successful implementations.
Here are some of the types of project that we encounter most often:
Customer-Centric Business Design – build a customer-centric business by placing the customer at the heart of strategic decision making (increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty in the process).
Agile Digital Transformation – identify relevant or emerging technologies that can shorten development cycles and deliver new products, services or business models more quickly but also break down a transformation initiative into bite-size projects/tasks, ensuring business continuity is preserved.
Strategy-to-Execution Alignment – map strategic goals to underlying changes in people, process and technology, ensuring all initiatives and investments support the company’s vision.
Capability-based Planning – assess your organization’s core capabilities and support fact-based decision making when it comes to key business events (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, partnerships).
Maturity Assessment – ascertain your organization’s readiness and maturity for a number of important change capabilities by undergoing our maturity assessment, which focuses on integrated investment decision making in IT, with architecture-based governance and portfolio management.
Essential Enterprise Dashboards – create signature-ready deliverables for executive stakeholders in order to demonstrate a solid business case, accelerate change, or simply ensure that strategic decision making is based on actual facts.
Roadmapping Change – design, understand and prioritize change accordingly across technologies, applications and business capabilities in order to bring clarity and boost effectiveness of change initiatives.
Application Portfolio Management – optimize your application landscape by identifying redundant and duplicative applications, enabling cost savings as well as a more streamline IT environment.
Risk Management – model threats, vulnerabilities and controls using extensions to the ArchiMate standard and develop a coherent strategy towards cybersecuring your business.
This entry-level BVA package is aimed at single-team implementations. Usually, a Start accelerator is employed during low-cost projects that are defined by limited requirements in terms of data import and analytic output, as well as a lack of any plans to roll out to a broader stakeholder community in the near future.
Core: 12-week duration
The medium-level package enables the core team to use and manage the tool, but also prepares them to be able to successfully roll out the solution to a larger stakeholder base. The Core Accelerator is focused on a single Domain Module (e.g. Enterprise Architecture, Application Portfolio Management, Agile & Architecture, Capability-Based Planning).
Enterprise: 18(+)-week duration (with each Domain Module adding an additional 6 weeks)
This is the most comprehensive package available, featuring plug-in Domain Modules that allow clients to scale up according to their needs. Time and again, the Enterprise accelerator has proved an invaluable enabler during large enterprise transformation programs, where the domain scope is wide and the pool of stakeholder is diverse. This in-depth engagement provides extensive support and guidance for the core EA team, the domain architecture teams, as well as the business planning teams.
